Those who remember the 70s will probably remember this thing; this red
plastic viewer on this page http://www.knoxpix.com/index_e.html

When I think about it, I'm surprised that i don't ever recall a camera
being sold with a film that can be exposed, processed and then viewed
on a view-o-matic. I'm sure it could've been light-sealed had it come
just like the view-o-matic discs here, inside a light-tight container
that would be inserted in the camera and have one hole where the
exposure would happen, and a click would rotate the film inside it.

It would have been soooooooooooooooo fun. :-/ wow i'm experiencing a
sharp pang of nostalgia.

Please please someone make one. I promise to buy it. I'm sure all the
hipsters would.

Look under ViewMaster

They will take various formats including digital and make disks for you.

This one shows a few of the cameras that could be used. The camera
recorded two images on slide film. The film was then cut and mounted onto
the reels.
