I bougth this lens in ebay and it shows true excellent resolution, but
too small DOF for my macro work. I needed a diapragm!. Because this
lens is easy to dismount, I bought for near nothing in ebay a Rogonar-
S enlarger lens and I changed the intermediate tube whith its
diaphragm body. It works perfect and now I have the expensive Apo-
Rodagon 1:1 for a bargain price. The unique issue is that the f number
marked is one stop larger than the actual, but for me it is no
problem.
I use it monted in pentax bellows on a EOS 20D whith the adequate
adapters, and it's the sharpest lens I own: better than Canon 50mm
Compact macro, better than Canon L zooms, olympus macro lenses and
slighly better than Apo Rodagon 75mm 2X.
There are lots of Rodenstok enlarger lenses whit the same diaphragm
body.

Advice on Lens - Hi, I am considering purchasing a 240 mm lens for my 8x10 Zone Vi camera. I am wondering if this lense can be used with the camera with the standard bellows, or if it will require a bag bellows. Thanks for any advice/experience. PIE |
