Post subject: What film do you recommend?

I have a basic 35mm SLR - not digital.

I'm planning to take a trip to a charity event.

I will be shooting indoors and outdoors (sunlight/a bit cloudy sometimes).

What film do you recommend that I shoot with? I tried using a slide film before, but the photos came out a bit too magentaish.

Thanks.
