photo and print exhibition in Chicago this December

:Hi,

Myself - Niall Moore from Co.Cork, Ireland and my friend and partner
in art and spirit, the artist Holly Sierra from Cape Cod, are holding
a small joint exhibition in the Gallery Cabaret at 2020 N Oakley Ave
Chicago, IL, 60647-4153, to run from the 5th of December to the end
of the month.

The theme of the exhibition is 'From Cork to Cape Cod - art work and
photos across the ocean'. The tenuous link between Massachusetts and
Ireland is that I have aunts and uncles and cousins there and Holly's
grandparents came from Kerry. But more important is the
relationship which has grown up between us over the years. Even
though we have only met on three or four occasions we are aware of a
loving connection and a respect for each others work which is
passionate and real.

This show is a celebration of that love - of the fact that we are, as
we say in Ireland, 'anam cairde', soul friends.

I has worked as a free lance photographer (amongst many other
things!) in Cork City and has been employed by the Municipal Art
Gallery - the Crawford - to photograph its aquisitions andy
exhibitions. In this show he attempts to show that |reland is not
just the green and misty grey land of legend but has vibrant colours
to enchant the eye in its street furniture, painted houses, outdoor
murals and pub frontages.

Holly Sierra is a trained artist who has travelled widely. She is a
well known illustrator of childrens' books. She takes her
inspiration from the motifs of many cultures and incorporates them in
her latest series of paintings which celebrate the femine form and
spirit. Her work is stunningly beautiful with a lush sensuality to
her handling 0f colour.

We would be grateful if anyone could help us get publicity for the
show in the Chicago area. It is small show but we hope it is the
beginning of a productive period for both of us. We have plans for a
bigger exhibition soon.
