Hi, I am in the market for a couple of lens boards for Zone VI
and Wisner camera's...

First question, do these cameras take the same board?

Second question, I've noticed that some stores on-line are
selling boards for these cameras, and they aren't listing
the openings by saying "copal 0" or "copal 1"... they are
just listing a number like 34 or 42. I'm assuming that
these numbers are the measured opening in the board in
milimeters. My question is, does anyone know what a
copal 0 and a copal 1 opening is in these terms..

Thanks for any help

Mark

Copal Shutters, Need Lubrication? - Does a Copal Press 1 shutter need lubrication? I know that some photographic shutters are designed to run dry, but I don't know if this is the case with Copals. I cleaned one of my shutters which got stuck at the longer times with a solvent. Now it works...

Dust sealing Copal Press shutters? - I have two Copal Press shutters. One is a Size 0 removed from a Polaroid setup (oscilloscope camera, I suspect), the other is a Size 1 with the fine-tooth chrome rim, origin unknown. On both shutters the shiny aperture adjusting plate is visible on..

Why Copal 3S? - The differences between the Copal 3 and 3S shutters don't seem very significant. Any idea why they decided to make two such similar shutters? Inquiring minds and all that... Steve

Is it Copal or copal? Then what is it? - I am confused as to the use of the term copal. I have seen it in references to lens board openings, in referecnes to shutters (separate from the lens), and I have seen it in both upper and lower case. I found one reference that copal #00 was a 25mm..
