What do you mean by "professional? Only professional photographers can
post? Or do the posts have to be prepared and posted by a professional
author? Will misspellings and grammatical errors be considered
unprofessional?

By professional I mean that abusive, sarcastic, snide, etc., remarks will be
deleted. To disagree is fine but do so in a 'professional' manner. No ugly
personal remarks, no name calling, no insults, etc.

Good honest dialogue can be entertaining and informative.

I guess you will be blocked too, uh?

while you are at it, how about you stop posting advertising for your
magazine in this forum. You have your own now, stay there.

How many times are we going to have to see this ad? You have a forum
now, stay there....and quit advertising your magazine for free....

I too hope he isn't going to regularly post this ad here, somehow I feel
that hope isn't likely to become a reality.

Why do people get so enraged that Steve posts an occasional reference to his
magazine?
This IS a large format newsgroup and last I checked View Camera magazine has
something to do with LF!
Stacy - you really need to get a life, get laid, get drunk, or get something
else to do! Is this REALLY that important a battle for you to wage here?
And no, I don't work for Simmons, never met the man, don't even subscribe to
his magazine!

He's posted this "come to our groups" twice this week already and keeps
adding the "No ugly personal remarks, no name calling, no insults, etc."
Looks like this is going to be a regular "feature? I find it comical after
-his- behavior here for him to insult the people here, assuming -they- are
the ones who do this? Or have you never read the insulting crap he has
posted to people on this group?

 > This IS a large format newsgroup and last I checked View Camera magazine

So who's next? Should B&H be able to start plugging their sales here? They
sell LF gear. How about if all the camera mags started an "occasional
reference" several times a week? Maybe the people who make studio lighting
should post ads for their products here too? This isn't a forum for him to
plug his commercial venture. Nothing he has posted here this week has FLIP
to do about LF cameras or their use, he's just trying to get hits on his
website.

 > Stacy - you really need to get a life,

Well you might try getting the guts to post something like this using your
own name and account

Not with a certified nutcase like you out there!
Really, Stacey, there are more important issues out there like terrorism,
AIDS, gangs, cancer, and hunger.
Simmons postings aren't really going to affect the fate of mankind! Honest,
trust me on this, Stacey!

Anon posts are rather bad form. We have been through this before here and
the anon identity was outed. Please, let's not go there again.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Everybody's worried about stopping terrorism. Well, there's a
really easy way: stop participating in it.
