Thanks
1. Can I use 80 mm Plenar in reverse mode without Rollei distance ring
(obviously in Manual mode)
2. Is any noticeable quality difference between 40mm Distagon PQ and
not PQ.

To save you some time, neither of these topics are covered in the 6008i
manual.
With regard to using the 80 mm Planar in "reverse mode", I don't see how
you'll do it at all, considering the mount. Perhaps I don't understand
what you're trying to do?
W/r/t PQ vs. non-PQ, you'll need to verify that a non-PQ lens will work on
the 6008i. With the 6008i, the typical choice is between PQ or PQS, the
difference being the top shutter speed.
Your questions give me the impression that you are trying to use older
lenses in the same manner that you would on a camera with a focal plane
shutter. I'm not sure how practical that would be with the 6008i.

I known I just ask you as a user of this equipment.

Isn't ring on front and back the same size,

Lenses 6006 6002 SLX will work for sure with stop-down metering (no
auto mode no bracketing and couple more restrictions)

Depending on the lens, on the front you'll have threads or a Bay VI. On
the back is the lens mount, which has multiple contacts for the aperture
and shutter controls. I have no idea how you'd even fire the shutter if
you didn't make those connections. Perhaps I don't understand what you are
looking at?

Well, I know that the PQ lenses can be used on other 6000 series cameras,
sometimes with the limitations you mention. And, as the SLX is a focal
plane shutter camera, it doesn't need to make any connections to operate
the shutter in the PQ/S lenses. But, I'm not aware that a non-PQ lens
would work on a 6008i. Have you looked over Rollei's site?

Yes 6006 and 6002 for sure .

There is an expensive reverse mount adapter which allows you to mount
any lens backwards and maintain control of the shutter and aperture.
It would NOT be in manual mode necessarily. If you want to focus
closer, I do not think this would help unless you had an extension
tube or bellows.

In regard to some of the other answers, the lenses from 6006 series
(non-PQ) can all be used on 6008i but metering is only in stop-down
mode. If you are comparing identical lenses in the HFT and HFT+PQ
or HFT+PQS models, they would probably be the same optically
except for age.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: User's Manual Rollei 8008i |

It will by interesting to reed some comparison test
Prices for non PQ are like 1/2 of PQ/S
