Can anyone make a suggestion as to how I can make a cheap selftimer or
remote control for my Mamiya 645 Super.
It has electronic control over shutter and transport through a 4 pin
plug on the side of the camera. Can I buy a plug to fit?

Thanks for your answer,
SW dick

If the shutter release is threaded for an ordinary cable release, and it is
a soft touch, contact me off-list (email address below) for a deal on a 30'
long air-powered (rubber squeeze bulb) shutter release.

Hi,
I own a Mamiya 645 Pro TL and I use a Mamiya RC402 cable release adapter.
It is simply a switch on the middle pins (the 2nd and the 3rd) that connect
them when You act on the cable release attached to the adapter..
Mamiya RC401 is probably for Mamiya 645 Super and is probably the same as
the RC402 (I think only the shape is different).
If so I suggest You to make an "home-made" electromagnetic cable release:
simply a switch on one end of the cable with two wires connected to the
central pins on the side of the camera. You will avoid to buy the adapter
and the cable release too and there won't be any camera vibration when You
will use the switch Smile

Best regards
