Hi, I've bought a Contax S2 camera. It is almost perfect, but there is
a problem, or may be not. The film advance lever is "free" for the
first 30 degrees, then it works normally. I.e., it swings freely form
the body of the camera for 30 degrees. Is this a particular
characteristic of S2 or is the lever simply broken?

Thanks all

I don't know about the S2, but in an old Nikkormat I used to own, that first
30 degrees turned on the meter....<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
