I received a version of "You won a lottery" that had slipped past
Yahoo's spam filter today. Having nothing better to do at that
moment, I decided to have a look - I sometimes get curious about
what new amusing twist they've come up with. Nothing innovative
here, but the clumsiness itself was amusing. For instance, the
amount I'm supposed to have won was UKP 500,000,000, but it said
five hundred thousand pounds in brackets. The name in the email
address was "crawley" but the signature said "Craley". It included
instructions on claiming my "price". The mail was supposed to be
from the "UK Administrative Unit" but the contact add was
@yahoo.com.hk. It was full of elementary mistakes like that. Rather
disappointing as a diversion.
