Looking for a Professional app

I'm trying to get some suggestions on apps the professionals use to download
digital photos into and help control their workflow. I hear these apps are
something like albums and organize all your digital photos and scans. Any
help out there? Thanks.........

There are a number of image management programs out there. You can do
a quick search and check out ThumbsPlus, ACDSee, Adobe Alpum, JASC's
Album, and lots of others.

As for workflow, I think most advanced amateurs and pros alike use
products that can read their particular images (digital SLRs generate
RAW images in a proprietary format). The would be packages like
Breezebrowser, Capture 1, etc.
