Post subject: Pentax 6x7 Lens Adapter ? Archived from groups: rec>photo>equipment>medium-format (more info?)

Is there an adapter that can attach to Pentax 67 lenses to a (large
diameter) screw thread ?
At work, I have a requirement to test large CCD arrays (5 x5 cm). So, medium
format camera lenses appear to give the correct image size.
I would require something that can attach the Pentax lens to a plate in
front of my CCD array.
Any thoughts & advice gratefully accepted.
A UK source would be preferable.
thanks

modify a rear lens cap so that there is a hole in the center
for the light to pass through. attach this cap to a board
of metal or masonite with epoxy or a collar.
Mount the lens(es) to the cap as needed.
I've done this with 35mm several times for use on a view camera.
It should work for MF as well.

There's a company that makes custom mount adapters in the UK, called
'SRB' or very similar, although one offs would probably be expensive but
they may be able to help. I think their URL is <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.srbfilm.co.uk" target="_blank">www.srbfilm.co.uk</a>
Either that or find a cheap Pentax 6x7 body and take it to bits.

Would an enlarging lens work? One would be quite easy to mount to
whatever you desired.

This last suggestion is probably the most cost effective and professional
way to do it. Find a broken camera on that-well-known-auction site.
Otherwise, if it were me, I'd call a Pentax repair place and request a
replacement lens mount - probably the quickest, local way to do it if
you don't care for auctions.

Better still, ring Pentax UK and explain that you're looking into the
possibility of fitting a 5x5cm CCD into a 67 and you could do with some
bodies to work on

An extension tube has both a male and female lens mount on it and it
would be much cheaper than an entire body. The tube would also give
your machinist a little more 'meat' to work with.
