What and accuse Bret of photoshopping the image Smile

Well done comparison. I think we have all learned something
from this exercise.

I got up this morning to 4 deg F temperatures. Does the lower
temperature just act like lower light levels? At what point
does the camera body temperature compared to the
outside temperature start affecting images.

I've been wondering the same thing. Perhaps I'll ask one of the
Photoshop experts about this.

Nope. That's an interesting idea so I tried it:
http://edgehill.net/temp-/91153553.9EpPY0IY.20080006_ir.jpg
That's with heavy-handed tweaking to try & make it look like "something"
and it still looks freaky. Without tweaking, it looked a lot like a
color negative.

No matter what Bret, you always have good information on the equipment
and the way you have captured the images. I have always admired your
quality of work for an amateur. Most of the best work is done by
amateurs and not professionals.
If you ever leave your current line of work you should look into
teaching photography. I think your class would not only be informative
but a heck of a lot of fun.

I remember that pic and it's still my favorite. It has special
meaning to it.
Thanks for that!

The bottom end of visible light, I agree little effect.

More than anything, Bret seems to do it just for the love of doing it,
and sharing his excitement with like-minded hobbyists. Others in this
group (not to mention any names) seem to always be out to "prove"
something with their posts, down to copying Bret's posting style.

Whatever his motives, Bret's work AND his posts are just far more enjoyable.
