I think this reflects well on the fact that (like in other areas)
Olympus realized digital sensors needed new lenses to maximize their
performance. Too bad some of the other companies insisted on hanging
on the film lenses for so frigging long. But, brand new designs cost
money and why spend it if your less discriminating customers are happy
with the status quo?
