Nikon N80 - need single travel lens recommendation

I recently purchased an N80 body. In 5 months, I will be going on a 3 week trek
in Nepal and Tibet. In order to save weight and space, I would prefer to carry
just a single lens. I was thinking about a 28-200. Does anyone have any
personal experience or recommendations?

You probaby won't want 200mm as much as you would a wider angle. Besides,
the superzooms are notoriously soft at the long end, although the latest
Tamron is probably the best of the bunch. If all you intend to do are 4x6
prints, though, they're fine. But how about a nice 24-120? It gets you out
usefully wider than 28mm and performs well.
