Hi All,

I am looking for a Linhoff Universal View Finder for my 5x7 Tech 3. I see
these all the time on e-bay, but my question is, are there diffrent
verrsions for the 4x5 and 5x7 formats? Also where can I find the user manual
for this camera?

Thanks
NP

Linhof made three different Universal Finders. One for 2x3, one for 4x5
and one for 5x7. In addition special ones were also made for the aerial
45 cameras as well as limited production ones for other companies like
Wilde for their cameras.

Each different version has a different zoom range as a finder like the
45 that covers 75 to 360mm lenses would have too long a lens selection
range for a 23 camera and too short a range for a 57 camera.

As the Linhof distributor for the US we can tell you there is no Linhof
source for instructions or parts for a III. It is simply too old. You
may be able to find a manual from specialists in old manuals and books
like Finger Lakes Photo.

I cannot tell for certain, but there is a Universal Finder that looks like
it begins at the wide lens at 120mm.
See it here: <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7507247983" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7507247983</a><!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
