Those details should not be lost on anyone who has run a business.
Thanks for that insight.

I find it strange that people expect fuzzy-wuzzies when buying anything.
When I deal with, for example, B&H I actually appreciate the terse answer,
no BS, just business.

"Got (whatever)?"
"Yes"
"Okay, here's my info. Send it."

That's fuzzy enough for me.

Welcome to the world of large format. I for one appreciate "a
little less talk and a lot more action".

Remember that Mamiya 645 POS that I bought ? Yeah, they
exchanged it for the RB67SD. Eventually. I'm sure my name is in MAC's
little list of people to never hire/sponsor/deal with again.

I've got stories about MAC that I could share...
but I won't. Suffice to say I'll never buy
so much as a cable release from Mamiya from
this point forward.

I second that recommendation. I've never known their prices to
be outstanding but they have the best service of any retailer I've
dealt with except perhaps Fred Picker (RIP).

Sorry to hear that. Frankly everyone told me how great the 645
Pro was supposed to be but IMO it's not even good anchor weight.

Badger (and Jeff Taugner in particular) has been simply OUTSTANDING in every
transaction I've had with them over the years, and I've bought a Canham LF
system, Fuji lenses, and a lot of film from them. They've expedited orders,
shipped immediately and been a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend
them.

Adorama, on the other hand, felt like dealing with a bunch of sleazy used
car dealers from Baghdad..

I live about a 50 minute drive from Badger Graphic Sales. They are a
very small, family outfit. Jeff is the person with the most knowledge
about camera equipment. It's possible that he was out for a few days.
I'd send him a short email about your experience, and see what he says.
I've always had terrific service from them.
