DNG files and Photoshop Elements 3.o

I found the Adobe DNG Converter which BTW converts also the Pentax *ist
DS RAW files, but Photoshop Elements 3 doesn't seem to know the DNG
format although their web pages state that it does. Am I overlooking
something?
This is what it says on the Adobe webpages:
"DNG is supported by Adobe® Photoshop® CS2, Photoshop CS, Photoshop
Elements 3.0, and Photoshop Elements 4.0 (Windows) software."

Trying to open a DNG file manually or dropping it into Photoshop
Elements 3.0 says that it doesn't know the format. Did any of you have
better luck with Photoshop Elements 3.0 and DNG files?

To read DNG files in PSE3 you need ACR2.4 onwards, but PSE3
ships with ACR2.0. Download the latest version (3.2) of both
the DNG converter and ACR from the Adobe site if you want to
use DNG with PSE3.

Incidentally you need ACR2.3 onwards to read the Pentax DS
raw files directly, so either way you should get the latest
on offer.
