In the third paragraph he says that likely the reason the lens didn't focus
is because the D300 is still buggy.

What is he talking about d300 owners?
Is it still buggy?

BS. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Just one guys talk on a fishing
expedition.

D300 works very well. Haven't found one single bug.

Likewise, after about 1500 shots I have no complaints yet.

What he says makes no sense to me. He tried a Sigma 18-200 on two Canons, a
400D and a 30D, and found it "just refused to focus accurately and
consistently" causing him to miss about half his shots.

Then he says "this lens . . . is not **100%** focus-accurate even on a D300.
But I think that is more of a problem with the D300 than the lens. This is a
good lens. The D300 is still a little buggy."

Does that make any sense to you? On two different Canons the lens focused so
poorly he missed half his shots, and he doesn't blame the cameras. Then on a
D300 the lens was just "not 100% focus-accurate" and he concludes from this
"the D300 is still a little buggy." Hello?

I have serious doubts about the whole thing. He has the same lens twice? One
for Canon and one for Nikon?

For the rest I agree with you. BS.
