Yes, both. My favorite lens is about 70-210, f/2.8.

Yes, sometimes. I recently did a 5 minute exposure.

Well then get both!
If I get a D3 (or it's smaller future version) I'll be keeping my D200
for telephoto work, and for when I don't want to walk around in public
with a huge behemoth. The big advantages of a D3 are ability to shoot in
low light hand held and super wide angle like my 12-24 full frame Sigma:
that would need an 8mm rectilinear lens on a D200/300 etc. which does
not exist. Even 14mm rectilinear equivalent doesn't exist for crop
frame. Lots of things don't exist like a 28mm f/1.4 (18mm/1.4).
And the 70-200/2.8 works like a 300/2.8 cropped so that's a big factor too. >> Stay informed about: D3 vs D300 |

While I'll admit that anyone can make a mistake once, to go on making

Try looking at:

You haven't said anything about what you need a camera for, so how on
earth do you expect anyone to advise you?
Stupid questions tend to get stupid answers, so do try asking a more
intelligent question to start with. >> Stay informed about: D3 vs D300 |

If you ask your wife the same kind of stupid questions that you have
asked on this newsgroup, may God give her the strength she needs to
answer (or ignore) them! >> Stay informed about: D3 vs D300 |

We were hoping for less lazy questions. Do you have no photography
experience? If so consider knitting as a hobby instead.

If you transplant the D to the end, one is a Canon DSLR and the
other isn't.

The D30, obviously. Or the 30D. Always stick to the middle
of the road.

It's $2000 vs $5000 and you don't know enough to evaluate the differences
yourself? There's an entry level D60 that was just announced that may be
just for you.
