A friend dropped off an immaculate 85mm F2 Cinelux-Ultra projection lens.
(An anamorphic lens.)

Before I get into hacking a mount to a 35mm camera, I must ask: can I use
the same lens for taking and projection (enlarger)?

Its not going to work well as either a camera lens or an
enlarging lens. For one thing as a projection lens it has no
diaphragm which will cause problems with both applications.
I think you can use it both ways by turning it 90 degrees.
Its certainly worth experimenting with but don't expect too
much from it. Also note that its probably made for
Cinemascope frames, essentially half normal 35mm still
frames (slightly larger) so it may have coverage problems
for 35mm still frames.
