I have a 5800MRX by Kodak. When I have the prints developed the data
appears on the back as normal but the date is missing. How can I get the
date to appear on this unit?

Check your instruction manual. Most better APS cameras have switchable
dating. The other possibility is lab error. Lab error in printing IX
data is enormous. Snapfish is notoriously unreliable batch to batch and
even Kodak is - often their printer is so faint you can't read any of
the numbers.
