Can anyone suggest a secure and efficient way to store b/w film? I
have been using the Clear-File sheets, which are convenient for
locating and editing. Unfortunately the notebooks, when standing on a
shelf, allow the sheets to slump and, over time, bend the film.

The sleeves with boxes appear more secure, but I often file notes and
other items - business cards, flyers, etc..., with the relevant film.
I really do not want two files to manage this.

Thank you,
David

I use the same system but I keep the binders horizontal. The 'D'
ring binders are better because the sheets can't get pinched/rolled
under as they can with 'O' ring binders. Problem is they don't stack.

In Europe they have box files - a better solution to the problem,
and there is the Leitz Allura system:

I've got plastic this and that to give away. Can't beat Glassine
sleeves.
Store flat, on edge, on end. Three x five ruled index cards kept
separate
from the negative file have all the exposure and processing data.
Glassine filed negatives from near fifty years ago look OK.
Accordian
filed in their original Adox folders. Each folder one roll. Very
handy.
Who handles those? Dan
