121mm Super Angulon

I have just got a 121mm S.A. mounted to a Plaubel lens panel.
The lens appears to be fitted into some kind of housing which has larger
rings for the shutter speeds.

However it looks like there is normal Compur shutter mounted into the
housing, yet I cannot remove the lens cells and shutter from the housing.
Normally one has the shutter,you remove both cells to fit into a lens panel.
When you have tightened the locking ring only then you fit the cells of the
lens.
This thing has a flange which screws tothe lens panel by three screws and
the housing screws to that..

I am not familiar with how Plaubel mounts lenses. The use
of a flange for mounting shutters is very common. The use of
a retaining ring on the back of the lens board has become
more common in the last few decades. Some shutters come with
combination rings which can be used as retaining rings if
mounted on the back of the lens board or as a conventional
flange for front mounting. Front mounting is necessary where
the lens board is thick.
Where a retaining ring is used its common for the shutter
to have a pin on the back which fits into a depression in
the lens board to prevent the shutter from turning. This is
almost universal on press cameras like Speed or Crown
Graphics. The retaining ring must be remove from the back in
order to remove the shutter.
Where a flange is used the shutter will unscrew from the
front. However, I've encountered some where the shutter
appears to have been cemented to the flange. Very old Speed
Graphics, with Compur shutters, are this way, but other
cameras are also.
Having said that the lens cells should just unscrew from
the shutter without removing the shutter from the lens
board. I have a couple of Super-Angulons in Compur shutters
and the cells of those just unscrew. However, Schneider was
fond of using tiny set screws on some lenses so I would
examine this lens to see if you can find any.
If that fails, and before using force, I would write to
Schneider giving them as much information as you can about
the lens and ask if there is anything special about it.
